Statement of Faith

We believe all sixty-six canonical books of the Bible to be the inspired and infallible Word of God. The Bible is the final authority for all matters of faith and practice. It is the revealed will of God concerning what Christians should believe and how they should live their lives. The Bible is our ultimate Statement of Faith. "Where the Bible speaks, we speak; where the Bible is silent, we too remain silent."

We believe that there is one God who exists in three eternal, simultaneous, and distinct Persons known as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are in absolute perfect harmony with one another. They are co-eternal, co-equal, and co-powerful. If any one of the three were removed, there would be no God.

We believe that God the Father is perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, and measureless in power and time. He showed His love for all Mankind by sending His Son to die for our sins so that we might have eternal life with Him in Heaven.

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ. He is the expressed image of the invisible God and His only Son. He became a man, born of Virgin birth, lived a sinless life, and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all Mankind by dying on the cross. He rose bodily from the dead demonstrating His victory over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven to the right hand of the Father in authority, and will return again to the Earth in power and glory. Repentance from sin and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the only way to come into a reconciled relationship with God.

We believe the Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and with the Son. We believe in His present ministry to the world to convict Mankind of sin and awaken them to their need of a Savior. We believe that Mankind is born again through the power of the Spirit and with the Spirit of power. The Holy Spirit lives in the life of Believers to manifest the character of Christ. He provides them with the capacity for righteous living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance for life. He also provides spiritual gifts, as He wills, to Believers so that they might live and serve in a manner that surpasses their own natural ability and limitations. The victorious Christian life can only be exercised through Him.

We believe that Mankind is created in the image of God. We were designed to reflect God’s character and creation. Through our willful transgression and disobedience, we have fallen from our originally created state of righteousness and peace into a state of separation from God. This separation has resulted in bondage and death. We are unable to deliver ourselves from this sinful condition and are totally dependent upon the power of God. Neither good works nor self-improvement can make atonement for our sin. Salvation cannot be purchased; it is a free gift from God unto all who are willing to receive it. This gift is received by faith and by believing and trusting in Jesus Christ who died as our sacrificial substitute that we might live.

We believe God created Mankind to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with Him through forgiveness and salvation. We believe Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence and habitation.
 
We believe it is important to uphold to the Scriptural practices of the early Church. Therefore, we hold to the practice of Prayer, Worship, Teaching of the Word, Evangelism, Discipleship, Fellowship, Water Baptism, Communion, and to the continuing acts of the Holy Spirit.
